Some may say I selected Air because it was easy... not as much as you would think. I sat with stacks of books and almanac's around me reading all the DIFFERENT correspondances with Air. Who knew there were so many? I selected Air because I am an Aquarius as is my oldest, my youngest is Gemini and his best friend who adopted me as his Mom is a Libra... and that pretty much says we are all full of AIR! lol sorry bad joke I know.
From Dorothy Morrison's Everyday Magic I have borrowed the following:
Come to me Air, so fresh and so clean,
Grant mental power - keep my thoughts
Sharp and keen
Bring creativity, bring clarity, too
Lend your positive aspects to all that I do.
I selected 1 God and 1 Goddess although there are more that are the patron deities of Air.
Goddess - Arianrhod she is a Welsh/Celtic Goddess of 'The Silver Wheel' the moon and the stars. She represents deep Soul knowledge, intuition and mysteries of the life cycle. She is the connection of Birth, Death and Regeneration. She is represented by spider webs, full moon and stars as well as the spinning wheel.
God - Thoth he is an Egyptian God of magic, wisdom, medicine, astronomy and writing, but especially of music. Said to have brought all magic and wisdom into being with the power of sound. He is a great favorite with contemporary magicians who use incantation, drumming and song to invoke him. God of great knowledge. He is represented by the cresent moon and the eye of Ra (the sun).
